The only guided group of the year

One fixed departure, 6 to 12 riders, at the end of the dry season. Add the guided option (+$550 per person) and you ride with an expert guide, a mechanic travelling with the group, a support vehicle carrying your luggage and every meal covered. It needs six riders to run, and we group smaller parties together to reach them. Every other date on the calendar you ride self-guided, on your own.

What is the Bali 2 Komodo Challenge?
A 12-day, 11-night motorcycle adventure covering 1,259 kilometers across 6 major islands: Bali, Lombok, Gili T, Sumbawa, Flores and Komodo. Designed as a deep cultural and geological exploration, crossing the famous Wallace Line and concluding with a visit to the Komodo Dragons.
What riding experience do I need?
This is an intermediate-level tour, ideal for riders with some touring experience and comfortable with varied conditions, from heavy traffic in Bali to isolated terrain in Sumbawa. The pace is moderate at 150-200 km per day, so it is never a speed run. Personal international travel insurance is mandatory for all participants.
What are the main highlights?
Purification ceremony at Pura Kelecung in Bali · Tambora Volcano National Park · Whale Shark snorkeling at Saleh Bay · Komodo Dragons trek · Pink Sand Beach · Beach club finale in Bali.
How is luggage transported?
On the guided departure your main luggage travels daily in the support vehicle, so you only carry a daypack on the bike. Riding self-guided you carry your own luggage on the motorcycle, which is why we keep the gear package generous — ensuring a comfortable and focused ride.
Which motorcycles are available?
Honda CB150X for single riders under 100kg, or the Kawasaki Versys 250 for two riders or solo riders over 100kg. Every bike is fully serviced before the tour; on guided departures a mechanic travels with the group and checks them nightly.
Is motorcycle insurance included?
Not included in the base price. Two options: Full-Risk Insurance policy for $275 (covers all bike damages), or a Refundable Security Deposit of $1,000 upon arrival (returned if no damages occur).
Are tour dates fixed?
It depends on how you ride. Guided departures run on fixed scheduled dates, with a maximum group of 12 riders to keep the experience personal. If you prefer to go self-guided, dates are flexible — you choose when to start.
